Air powered pitching machines use compressed
air to propel the ball. The most popular of these models is the
Zooka
brand of pitching machines. Zooka machines allow the user to select a
speed for the pitch - the machine then "pumps up" the pressure inside
the machine to the right level and releases the ball. The current
downside to these types of machines is that they cannot current throw
curveballs. |
